Nadežda Witzanyová is a senior official in the Department of International Cooperation in Research and Development within the Czech Republic Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. She is a member of the Executive Board of ESFRI, Czech Republic ESFRI delegate  and a member of CREST. At the Ministry she is responsible for RI policy-making, its implementation and the coordination of ERA policies. During the first half of 2009 she was involved in the CZ PRES, especially in the agenda of RIs, the Ljubljana process and the preparation of the informal meeting of Ministers responsible for research.

Nad'a trained as an engineer at the Institute of Chemical Technology in Prague and then worked as researcher at the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic and at the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry. She joined the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports in 2006.
